Folks Cafe

Since Blogger's picture upload feature is playing nice today, I can finally post a couple pics. There's a coffee shop not too far from where I work called Folks Cafe. I like it because it doesn't have the usual stuck up coffee shop crowd. The tuna salad is great on a sandwich except for those damn celery pieces I have to pick out... I hate celery and onions, bleh. At least I got to sit in the scenic corner by the adorable venus fly traps. Maybe I should have fed the celery to them....

I'm still alive...

I feel bad for not posting more often... but blogger has really been driving my nuts. I've had the worst time trying to post pictures, it's been problematic for months now. I'm hoping to move to another platform sometime once I find one that supports picture messaging as good as blogger does (when it works at all, grrr...)

- Life has been going pretty well lately, yesterday Brian and I had our 1 month aniversary! It still seems surreal sometimes, but I've never been happier.
- I've been knitting like crazy, working on Christmas gifts and Brian's sweater. I'm proud of myself for tackling a full blown project like that, I hope it turns out well.
- Brian and I started working out again, I'll feel sore tomorrow but tonight I'm glad we're back at it.
- I've turned into a tea junkie, every morning I make a pot of tea and take it to work in my thermos. It keeps it nice and hot which helps since it's always freezing at work.
- I'm hoping to go to the Ragdoll breeder soon to check in our our little kitten and see how much she's grown. I can't wait to play with her! ^_^
- Started reading Emma by Jane Austin, sofar it's pretty good. I can't keep from thinking how the movie "Clueless" was based on it though, ha ha.

Now for something completely different...

I have a pet peeve about work... I don't like to talk about work on my blog for fear of getting Dooced but this shouldn't be a big deal...

I CANNONT STAND it when women in the ladies room will sit there and talk on their cell phones while they're in the stall, doing their business. We talk on the phone 8 hours a day for our jobs and they can't even go without talking on a phone while they're using the restroom. Not to mention it's Gross to talk to someone while they're ... you know what. Ugh.

On a better note...

This is pretty cool... I was in the breakroom today and wanted to get something out of the vending machine but I only had a 5 dollar bill, so I asked a lady standing near me if she had change for a five. She didn't but she gave me a dollar bill instead, just because. I never met this person before so I thought that it was pretty cool that she was nice enought to just give a stranger money like that. Yeah it was only a dollar, but the way people are today it was still really nice.

Saturday Tea Time

Our friends Caressa, Jim and their baby Orin, came to visit us Saturday to have tea at the tea room downtown. It was really great to get to spend some time with them since they couldn't make it to the wedding. We had a nice time enjoying "tea by the sea" and checking out a few antique stores.

I've been meaning to post alot more, but blogger has been giving me the worst time with uploading pictures... hopefully it will be fixed soon and I can get back to posting a lot more.

Today is "dress like a rock star" day at work. Needless to say, my friend Mark went all the way. He looked pretty cool taking calls as the King.

We're back!

The Honeymoon was great! The mountains were so beautiful and the weather was perfect. Staying in the yurt was really a fun experience and the train rides through the mountains were wonderful. I'm starting to post pictures on my flickr photostream so check there for the latest pics!

I'll post more about the trip soon once I get back into the swing of "normal" life again.
