Everyday pics, ramblings and stuff.

Getting ready to enjoy tea at the tearoom downtown. We're just waiting for Caressa and her baby to arrive. I love comming here, its so lovely and peaceful. I cant wait for the wedding reception, it's going to be wonderfull when we get everything set up here.

Brian made his famous veggie and chicken soup last night, and like anything else he makes, he makes alot. This is great for me because I get leftovers for lunch. I love to sit outside in the breeze and enjoy the hour away from my desk. It's always freezing in the call center so I've been looking forward to warm weather for a while now.

Here's a few pics from the last couple of days... The knitting needles I made (see more at my knitting blog) the penguin, Brian made with the leftover clay, and the last one is the rare pic of Geisha, when she's out of the cage she almost never sits still long enough for me to take a picture. But she's so cute, I wish I could take more.

I finally found the perfect teapot to go with my mix n match tea set, and it was only $10! I've been getting tea cups, plates, and cream containers a little at a time for a few months now. This teapot and the sugar container I also got today will give me a full set, I cant to lay them all out when I get home.

I just saw this in Target and really want it... I have a tape adaptor for my car but it got stuck in the tape deck a few weeks ago and now it's toast. Too bad this is a little more than I'm willing to spend, it's so cute!

I'm mostly done with the teal sweater. I wish I could have it done by my fri for my knitting presentation at work but thats a long shot.

I've been working on my new website, www.NicoleKnits.com for a couple hours now... I've still got to put more pics on it and get some server info from Brian, but I'm hoping to have it up by Friday since I'll have a table with my knitting set up in the "Diversity Day" event at work that day.
I had a really good weekend, Monday I cleaned up and unpacked the rest of the stuff from the old apt (finally!). Brian was a big help, he was already doing laundry and dishes before I even woke up! That night we went to the blue post with Mark and James and had a great time playing pool and air hockey. I'm getting a little better at pool, I wouldn't mind playing more often to practice.
Today I took a day and relaxed... the first one since we moved in. I slept in, ate lunch with Brian and then went to buy yarn and looked through every knitting book at Barnes and Noble. ;) After picking up a few things at the grocery store I came home and started a capelet from SnB Nation and worked on all my blogs/sites and finally got Flickr set up with them.
Now, unfortunatly it's past my bedtime... back to work tomorrow.

Brian got a new pair of glasses on Monday, they might not look very different in a picture but they look great on him in person. They're the flexon frames, you can twist and wrap the metal around your finger if you want, and it will always go back to the original shape. A good idea since I always smoosh his glasses when I give him a big hug.

I am one lucky girl! I got another Hello Kitty marshmellow pop, this time from my parents. They stopped by on Sat to get a few things from our old apt but I had to go to work almost 10 min after they got here so they left it with Brian.

Mark and James got me a present this morning, a hello kitty marshmellow pop! I just happened to be wearing my hello kitty charm bracelet and had my hello kitty umbrella with me too.

I started knitting again, a cropped jacket/shrug sort of thing. It's always cold at work so I figure it will come in handy. I started it last night but I like to knit at my desk between calls when it's slow. I'm making pretty good progress, I should be done in a week or two at this rate. I hope it turns out since I don't have a pattern and I'm just kind of winging it.

I've been too busy to post these until now, that and the internet was down due to a bad thunderstorm for a few days. These were taken the day we signed the lease... I'll post more once everything is all unpacked and pretty. I love the marble countertops and the built-in desk for all Brian's computer stuff. Moving itself is such a pain, but I love going to a new place and putting everything in it's place. I love all new begginings, and this is a great one. We've even got a mini-shopping center in walking distance, with a Food Lion, Port City Java and a couple of great restaurants. I really love living on this end of town.
The apartment is great, it's a one bedroom but it's got much more space than our last place. There's only a few things left there, I'll pick them up when I go back to clean and repaint the walls. I was able to unpack all my Phantom of the Opera collectables, they'd been in boxes since I moved to Wilmington over 2 years ago. Along with figurenes and other things, I've got a wooden plaque that Brian made for me in high school with the phantom's mask and song lyrics from the musical... I'll have to post a pic of it soon, definitly something to show our future children, the first gift their father gave me.
Now that we're mostly settled in, things are getting back to normal, which means we've turned back into slobs, lol. We did agree on a "cleaning schedule" before we moved in to keep this gorgeous apartment from looking like a pigsty. Now if I can only find it...
