Here's my wedding idea scrapbook. I've been cutting out pictures that are similar to what I'd like for the wedding. I've also done sketches for table layouts and cake designs. It's so much easier having all my ideas in one place, now I can take the same book to the florist, baker, photographer, etc.
The wedding planning is actually comming along nicely, I've got most of my vendors booked and I've got the most gorgeous dress! It's so hard to keep from posting pics of it but I want everyone (especially Brian) to be suprised. :)

My relaxing day downtown

These pics are from last week but I still wanted to post them. I took a day for myself last week and spent the afternoon downtown. It was a beautiful day, and I've always loved downtown Wilmington. Now that the weather is warming up I'd like to go a little more often.

I got the cutest shirt at Planet yesterday, it's so cute! I took a ton of pictures yesterday when I spent the afternoon downtown, but blogger is being stupid and won't upload the pics from my memory card. I'll try to post them later.

Today was such a warm sunny day I just had to go out on the balcony and snap this pic. We've got a nice view from the 3rd floor but the balcony is covered with pots from my failed attempts at gardening last year. My plan is to clean it out soon and put a wrought iron table and chairs set so Brian and I can have brunch out there sometime. Hopefully I'll be able to do that before we move out in june....

Butch was having a great time today. I opened the sliding glass door since it was such a beautiful day and he was tweeting back and forth with the birds outside. That doesn't say much about him though, since he also tweets to the dishwasher the same way... at least he's got good taste, check out the Hello Kitty cage skirt. ;)

Dinner at Circa

Usually Brian wants to rest after working all day. This means he wants to sit at the computer and play games with his buddies online for a few hours. ;) But today he told me to get ready when he got home because he was taking me out somwhere. It was a pleasant suprise and we ended up at Circa, a highly recomended restaurant downtown. He remembered that I'd said several times that I'd love to come here to eat since I'd never been here before. It was just as wonderful as everyone says. The food was great, I had a salad, Chicken Caccitore, and a great dessert. It was so good, that I totally forgot to take a pic of it once they set it in front of me! ha!
I love spending quality time with Brian like this, especially since our schedules are so different now. We love to just hold hands and talk while waiting for our food. He listens to everything that I ramble about, even stuff he could care less about. It really is wonderfull that we've been friends for so long, it makes our relationship that much stronger.

Sushi Night!

Michael and I were taking pics of each other to put on each of our blogs.
My Stepdad's birthday is Friday, but I have to work that night so I went to Jacksonville yesterday so Brian and I could take him and my mom to dinner. We all love sushi (well mom is learning to love it, ha) so we all went to Shogan and had a great time. I had yakitori and california roll with a couple ebi on the side. Yum! We always have a good time when the four of us go out. I'm so glad that my parents like Brian and that his parents like me. Our "engagement party" (it was really just a get together with burgers and stuff but alot of fun) was great because our parents got to spend some time together and get to know each other. We're really lucky to have such great families.

I got the cutest makeup kit at Ulta the other day. Its from Hard Candy, I'm such a sucker for cute little makeup stuff like this. I may not care about name brand clothes, purses or shoes, but expensive makeup is my weakness.

I've decided to brush up on my Portuguese since my goal for next year's bonus is to visit Portugal with Brian. (this year's bonus went to pay the wedding expenses) I speak some basic Portuguese already, but since my grandmother passed away I havn't had to use it. So now when I try to speak it I sound like a third grader with a bad accent. ;) I'm kind of in a weird place because I know alot of the basics but there are still alot of basic words and phrases I don't know because I never needed to use them, like, "finance a mortgage", and,"wildlife conservation". Stuff like that. I plan to go through the first couple chapters alone and then have mom check my progress and help me practice.

I got the coolest Hello Kitty frut snackes the other day, they're pretty yummy too.
