Reason # 1 572 why I don't cook...

I decided I wanted eggs and rice for breakfast but Brian was still asleep. So I got out the pot to cook the rice and moved the burner covers onto the unused burner. I accidentally turned on the burner that I'd stacked the covers on instead of the one for the pot... I walked away to get something and when I came back the covers were black and smoke was pouring out of them! I yelled for Brian who came and put them outside for me. The house smelled like smoke but at least the sprinklers didn't go off. And I got my eggs and rice though, after Brian made them for me. ;)
